Mercedes-Benz is a German brand that has been producing cars for over a century. Mercedes-Benz is a brand that created by the merger of two automobile manufacturers. In the early 1890s, Karl Benz founded the company Benz&Cie. Towards the end of the 1890s, Gottlieb Daimler founded his own Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft. These two separate companies, which didn't know each other in the beginning, would sign a very big partnership one day.
Daimler's owned company, denominated ordinary prototype name to cars when they started to producing cars. In 1897, Consul General of Australia Emil Jellinek visited Daimler's factory and bought a car. Jellinek , who is almost admired in this vehicle bought another 23 horsepower car named after his daughter at Daimler's firm. He participated in a race in Nice with this car and became the first. Jellinek ordered 36 cars from Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft after this race and he wanted to all the cars to bear her daughter's name.After this, Daimler used Jellinek's daughter name instead of bad prototype names. In 1908, Daimler won The Germany Grand Prix and he made one's mark.
Unfortunately this fame was short cause The First World War. Germany army decided to combine Mercedes and Benz&Cie. They had to find a new name for their car. That name was Mercedes-Benz. The leading name of Mercedes is due to being a more important company.
